David Lee Anderson was called to heaven on August 29, 2013, after a 3 year battle with cancer. David was born in Tulsa, OK on March 30, 1957, to Hoyt Kenneth and Virginia Anderson. The family moved to Houston in 1967. He graduated from Scarborough High School, attended the University of Houston while working his way through school and graduated in December 1988 with a Bachelors of Business Administration, Finance. He worked in the hardware industry for more than 30 years, working in the retail and wholesale arenas, and later as a manufacturer's representative. He married his wife, Pamela, in September 1980 and later had 3 sons: Carthal, Jacob, and Benjamin. He was originally a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, and most recently, Trinity Lutheran. He loved to be out on the water bay fishing, or tromping around in the country and hunting. He especially cherished spending these times with Pamela and their sons. David was preceded in death by his older brother, Kenneth Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Pamela; his sons, Carthal, Jacob, and Benjamin; his father and step-mother H.K. and Reba Anderson; his mother, Virginia Anderson; sister, Ruth Ransom and John Ransom; brother, Donald; Step-sister, Rhonda Manuel and Alfonso Saldivar; step-sister, Sherri Manuel and Mike Brunet; a niece and numerous nephews; and mother-in-law, Martha Gebhardt. David also counted many, very close friends as family. David's family extend their gratitude to Roger Schultz, M.D. of Memorial Clinical Associates, and Eric Jonasch, M.D. and the staff of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for their care and guidance over the years. A Memorial Service will be held September 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Houston Ave, Houston 77007.
