Doris Melinda Samuelson, 59, of Houston, formerly of Portage Indiana, passed away on March 4, 2016 at her home in Houston Texas. Melinda was born in Memphis Tennessee to Jerry and Mary Ann Gulledge on February 2, 1957. She attended Hobart High School and went on to earn her certification as a CNA. She enjoyed helping others and worked as a Telemetry Technician. She enjoyed reading, movies, and going to the beach or relaxing by the pool. Melinda is preceded in death by her grandfather H.B. Griffin and grandmother Doris Selvidge, father Jerry, and her son Michael. She is survived by her mother Mary Ann Gulledge of Houston,TX; sister Sandra Gerkin of Portage,IN; her brother Jerry J. Gulledge Jr of Houston,TX; her daughter Amy Tinnel (Joe) of Portage IN; her son Donald Samuelson of Portage,IN; daughter in law Stephanie Samuelson of Demotte,IN; four grandsons, two granddaughters, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
