James Cammack Obituary

James Dicksen “Jim” Cammack was born to Hadley and Pauline Cammack, January 13, 1934 in Houston, TX. He was raised Methodist until he married our mother Janice. He was a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod for over 45 years. Jim graduated from the University of Georgia in 1956 and served in the US Army, stationed in Korea. He spent his entire career working at Mortgage and Trust and retired in 1991 after 32 years. Jim was called to his eternal home in heaven on June 9, 2015, at the age of 81 years, 4 months, and 27 days. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Hadley and Pauline; sister Eileen Gerstenberger and husband Al; and Janice Cammack. He is survived by his daughter Bonnie Cammack McCarthy; daughter Julie Keller and her children Reagan, Grant, and McKinley; son Michael Cammack and wife Jenny and their children David and Kayla; sister Audrey Campbell and her children and grandchildren; his in-laws Danny and Lena Waggoner, nieces Alisha, Victoria, Ashley and husband Mark, and their children; Jay Keller, as well as many other relatives and friends-including good church friends Bill Streeter, Walt Krestchmar, and Gerald Krause. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 13, 2015 at Fishers of Men Lutheran Church, 2011 Austin Parkway, Sugar Land, TX 77479 with Jerry McNamara officiating. Jim will be interred with full military honors at Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
