James Donald Carlin Jr., 75 passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2017 at his home in League City, TX. He was born May 1, 1942 in Fort Meade, South Dakota to James D Carlin Sr. and Berneice Carlin (Yockers). Jim worked and was well respected in the auto sales/ finance industry for 50 plus years. Many times he was able to turn a car dealership around and make them profitable with his vast knowledge of the business. Jim will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, his love of golf and boating and being a good father to his 4 boys. Jim Carlin loved his life. He lived footloose and fancy free and never sweated the small stuff. Jim is survived by his longtime girlfriend Diedra McIntyre and his 4 sons Jim Carlin III (Betty Jane) of Texas, Darren Carlin (Maxine) of San Diego CA , Brian Carlin, and Robert John Carlin III both from the Houston area. He is also survived by his grandchildren Sara and Abigail Carlin, Sean and Ryan Carlin, Christi and Darren Jr. Carlin, and Cash, Crista, Chelsey, and great grandbaby Ryleigh Carlin. He will also be missed by his brothers Ronald Carlin (Liz) of California and Robert Carlin II of Texas and many other family members.
