Mike Pinkerton, 65, completed his life journey on July 26, 2016 at his home in Houston, TX. He was born on February 17, 1951 in Hutchinson, KS to Otis L. and Mary Lou Pinkerton. He graduated from Central Christian High School in 1969. He received a B.A. in Greek and Ancient History from The University of Nebraska. He went on to graduate Marine Corps Officer Candidate School at Quantico, VA. In 1975 he opened Mike Pinkerton and Company Insurance Agency. As an agent for Great Southern Life, he was named Rookie of the year United Agency Force. Great Southern chose Mike to represent them in an advertisement that appeared in Sports Illustrated Magazine. Mike served as Vice-President of Retirement Life during 1978 through 1980. In 1980 he founded Houston's Insurance Brokerage Center. He achieved Lifetime membership in the Million Dollar Round Table in 1983. He was a founder of Brokers Health Network in 1987 and served as Vice- President. Mike enjoyed a lucrative career in Insurance for 40-plus years. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Iris Pinkerton, Houston, TX. His daughter Michelle West (Justin) and grandson Asher West, Houston, TX. His mother, Mary L. Pinkerton, Hutchinson, KS, sisters; Carolyn Hersman (Jimmy) McKinney, TX and Deann Anderson of Kansas City, MO. Along with several nephews and one niece. His father, Otis L. Pinkerton and his brother in law, Les Anderson, Kansas City, MO, preceded him in death. A celebration of Mike's life will be announced at a later date.
