Laurie was born on May 30, 1957 in Brooklyn, New York. At 22 years old, she moved from New York and settled in the Houston area in 1979. She had a zest for life that showed through her creativity in the crafts she enjoyed making, selling, and sharing with friends. She had a huge heart and love for her family and friends. Despite her illnesses this past year, she continued to show courage and strength along with a contagious smile that brightened any room. Laurie earned her angel wings on April 24, 2017, surrounded by her son and family. She is survived by her son, Jeremiah Partsch, family and many friends. There will be a graveside service for Laurie on Friday, May 5th @ 11am at the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas. Her memorial and celebration of life will be held the following day on Saturday, May 6th @ 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 16198 Cairnway Dr., Houston, TX 77084.
