Leila Fredricka Essa, age 65, passed away September 8, 2017. Born in High Point, North Carolina on April 28, 1952, Leila is preceded in death by parents Doris Cecil Essa, Fred Alex Essa, and stepmother Leila Rukab Essa. Beloved daughter, mother, sister and aunt. Leila is survived by her son Matthew Normand, brothers Alex (and Lynn) Essa, Dan (and Julie Lawton) Essa, Chuck (and Lisa) Essa, Mike Essa, Eddie (and Mariamne) Essa, sisters Salwa Valles, and Aleta (and Mike) Essa. She is also survived by nieces and nephews Melissa Benavent, Jessica Fryer, Alexis Essa, Elena Essa, Emily Essa, Elise Essa, Isaac Valles, Ryan Essa, Michael Essa, Anthony Essa, Adam Essa, cousins and friends. memorial service will be held October 14, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Calvary Church at the Fountains, 12410 Sugar Dale Dr., Stafford, TX 77477, and followed by the interment at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston TX.
