Linda Hanley Obituary
Linda Millender Hanley sadly passed from us December 10th, 2015, due to complications
from a double lung transplant. Linda had been battling Pulmonary Fibrosis for 8 years,
but now is with God and relieved from all her pain.
Linda was an adventurous person who loved to travel, sing, drive fast cars, and enjoy life
with her many friends. As a young person Linda belonged to Galveston Skydiver's Club.
She was also a Charter Member of the Houston Horizon Sweet Adelines Chorus, where
she enjoyed not only chorus singing and dancing, but quarteting as well. In 1988, her
quartet “Ms. Behavin'” won first place honors in Regional competitions. She continued
her passion for performing for many years until her illness made it impossible to sing
anymore.
Linda is survived by her brother Kent Millender of Austin, Texas. She will be loved and
remembered by all who knew her.
If desired, a memorial donation may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Association,
1525 Lakeville Drive, Ste 101, Kingwood, Texas, 77339, in memory of Linda. Linda had
many friends in this organization, and her local PF support group was a blessing to her
as her illness progressed.
