Patricia Hughes passed away on August 05, 2020 from natural causes at The Abbey at Westminster Plaza in Houston, TX. Pat was born in Sioux City, Iowa to Frank and Marguerite Hood Johnson. Pat was a loving mother, wife, and Gaga to her family. She was very proud of her Iowa roots. Pat’s career included banking, finance and later working for the FDIC. She was very athletic, excelling at golf, tennis and snow skiing, all activities she missed later in life. She ruffled many feathers on the golf course by beating the guys she played with. We will miss Mom very much. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Hughes; sisters Jackie Adams and Vivian Ouvellette, and brother Gary Johnson. She is survived by her sister Janice Shook (Fayetteville, AR), children Barbie Kilgore and husband Duane (Houston, TX), Doug Tiller and wife Ann (Huntsville, AL), Patricia Kneller and husband Doug Myers (Marietta, GA); grandchildren Katherine Pitzinger and husband Joe (Houston, TX), Kelly Ramirez and husband Andy (Houston, TX), Faith Tiller (Huntsville, AL), Shauna Ratliff and husband Barrett (Atlanta, GA), Michael Kneller and wife Lizzy (Denver, CO); great grandsons Andres, George and Theodore Ramirez, Luke and Jack Pitzinger, Cameron and Connor Ratliff. Patricia’s remains will be laid to rest on Friday August 21, 2020 at 2:00pm: Houston National Cemetery on 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive Houston, TX 77038 Services officiated by Chester Makowski.
