Paula Peck Obituary

Paula Elaine Patricia Peck, 51, of Houston Texas, passed away on November 6th 2013. Vibrant and fun-loving Paula Peck was born in Kingston, Jamaica on June 23rd 1962 to parents Icyline and Kenneth Peck. After graduating from Wolmers High school; Paula contributed her administrative skills to the NSC where she worked for a few years in New Kingston, Jamaica. She then married her first husband Stephen Anthony Brown and migrated with their first born Hanif Brown in 1986 to New York City. Shortly after, they relocated to New Jersey where she worked as a Human Resource Specialist at Prudential Insurance for many years. With hopes of a new beginning and a strong determination to succeed Paula and her younger son Stephen Brown Jnr. moved to Houston, Texas. Paula was no ordinary person; her talents were numerous, she was a decorator, designer, artist, a self-proclaimed fashionista and honorary member of the home shopping network. However, Paula's real passion was helping people and this desire propelled her into pursing and successfully attaining her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. While working at Sugarland Health Care, she met her spouse Jimmy E. Beasley Sr., they were inseparable and bonded together for five years in every way of life. The song that represented their true love to each other was Reasons by Maze & Frankie Beverly. She was a perfectionist and an ardent music lover. She knew the importance of creating and cherishing memories and she did that by collecting and taking photographs whenever she could. Paula always made time to spend with her family, went on numerous trips and was always present at family gatherings despite the distance. She loved and enjoyed every second of her life and will be missed tremendously by family and friends. She was survived by her spouse Jimmy Earl Beasley Sr., her mother Icyline Peck, her two sons Hanif and Stephen Brown, her grandchild Jhaeleen Brown, siblings Olivia Peck- Hoo, Kenneth Peck, Dudley Peck, Charmaine Miller, Sandra Peck, Racquel Peck and Glenford Peck, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
