It comes with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother. Ruth Ester Pruitte Sunrise: October 3, 1927 – Sunset: October 25, 2017 During the early evening of Wednesday, October 25, 2017, God called our beloved Mother and Grandmother home to be with Him. She was born in Shepherd, Texas and later resided in Houston, Texas for more than 50 years. Ruth was supportive of her family and friends throughout her life. She was an advocate Lottery Scratch-off Ticket Player and enjoyed passing the day playing the cards. She was a winner in her own right. As many would get to know her during her life on earth, she would display an example of freedom; she walked with pride and self awareness. She was brave, independent and a gentle feisty giant with a giving heart. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters and her daughter - Carolyn Jones. She was survived by her – two sons, Ronald and Donald Ray and two daughters - Brenda and Rachael. A host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a close friend Ms. Ledie. As we mourn the passing of our love one, we are reminded of God’s grace and sacrificial love for us A private service is being held.
