On Sunday December 1st. 2019, Sheila Theresa Sanders departed from this earth to be with her Lord and Savior. Devoted Mother of three children, Brian (Masae) Sanders, Ericka Sanders-Reed (Percy) and Lisa Grammer (Daniel). Our dear Mother loved and cherished her seven grandchildren, Monique Sanders, Melissa Sanders, James (Jackie) Sanders, Angela Sanders, Colin Sanders, Joshua Sanders and Jacob Sanders. Six great- grand children whom she cherished and loved deeply. She was predeceased in death by her loving parents, Theodore and Selma Alston and leaves behind her beloved sister Kathy (John) Childress. Sheila acquired her Bachelor of Science degree at New Hampshire College in Human Services. She retired in Colorado Springs in 2006 from child protective services. She dedicated her life to advocating safety and the well being of children as she did in her own family. Sheila had a significant role in raising three grand children and two great grandchildren. She felt her calling in life was to care for a keep her family safe and secure. She was always willing to lend a sympathetic ear and help in way she could. If anyone needed anything she was there for you. “Mom”will be sadly missed and her memory will never be forgotten. Rest in peace mom, we love you until the end of time.
