Mr. William “Carl” Faust of Spring, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the age of 61. Carl passed away peacefully in bed at his daughter’s residence. ​Carl was born to parents Bobby and Ernestine Faust in Houston, Texas on August 13, 1956. Though Carl did not receive much formal education during his life, he quickly taught himself how to work on all makes of cars and trucks. He became a very successful automotive mechanic and his mechanic skills were well known throughout the Houston area. Carl retired from Pronto Muffler Center in 2015, where he worked at for 25 years. ​Carl had four beautiful daughters when he later met Lisa Wood and fell in love. Carl married Lisa in 1990. Lisa gained four bonus daughters through marriage, that she came to love and raise as her own daughters. ​Carl accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at WoodsEdge Community Church, where he and Lisa attended church services on a regular basis. He was a man of strong Christian faith and he was highly respected by the church community. ​Though Carl was a man of small build, he never backed down to anything or anyone. Not even when he was diagnosed with cancer. Carl fought his illness with true courage. He loved working on cars, playing cards, playing pool and having great conversations with family and friends. Carl was a true family man, who loved his wife and four daughters unconditionally. His love extended to his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and siblings. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his family and friends. ​Carl is survived by his wife, Lisa; his daughters, Margaret Hatfield, Heather Muñoz, Tiffany Macias and Bobbie Faust; his brothers, Wayne Faust and Charles Faust; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Carl is also survived by his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Ernestine; his brother, Arthur Faust; and his sister, Ginger Gentry. ​Carl's last wish was that he be cremated after his earthly life ended. His body is entrusted with Integrity Funeral Care. A celebration of Carl’s life is scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2017, 10 A.M., at WoodsEdge Community Church, located at 25333 Gosling Rd. Spring, Texas 77389. A lunch for family and friends will be served after the service at 22919 Meadow Ln, Tomball, Texas 77377. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
