1933-2015

Goodnight world Henri has left the building!!

Those of you who have known Henri will understand the Frasier reference. After all he seemed so like him: the fastidious attention to grooming, diction, food and well, anything his way. It may surprise many of you that he actually identified with Frasier's crusty but warm-hearted father. Like him, he was just one of the guys who had the ability to relate to everyone at their level. Sound familiar? Can't explain that chair though. One truth does shine through, when it came to understanding Henri, it was best to expect the unexpected unless it was his compassion to his fellow man or woman. Complain yes, but he could never turn down a friend.

My wonderful but complicated man was't the easiest to live with, his "demons" were many, battles were won and lost over the years". I would not , however gave up one minute of life with him, loving him, learning and sharing his passions. Occasionally, he learned a thing or two from me as well: no I don't look good in tailored clothing, yes, we can survive if there is animal hair on almost anything for a short time, the world will not end is we do something a little differently, and most importantly, a family is warm, loving and doesn't't depart when the times get rough - it gets stronger.

We are having a celebration and reflection of Henri's life at our home on Friday, June 19the from 6:30 to 9:30 pm located at 7802 Meadowcroft, Houston, TX 77063.
