It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Barbara Sue Cranford “Sue” also known as “Big Mom” passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on April 20, 2021. “Sue” was born in Crockett, Texas but was a lifelong resident of Houston, Texas. “Big Mom” was a loving, unique and caring individual to all who knew her. She touched the lives of many, especially children. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her treasures in life and family was everything to her. She had a heart of gold. “Big Mom” was the definition of Love…. Sue is survived by her husband Howard E. Cranford Sr; her brother Rufus Swift; her sisters Anne Cooper and Martha Swift; her children, Carol Gust, Peggy Palmer, Howard Cranford and Randy Cranford; Nephew Joseph Sharp; her grandchildren, Danny and Denise Cranford, Jenna Luongo, Tony and Ashley Luongo, her great-grandchildren, Lisette, Mikaela, Danny Jr, Carson, Kolton, Koby and Kash; Children she claimed as her own Kaylah, Kayden, Kylee, Kailcee, Karlee and CJ. And many Friends. In addition to her parents, Dolly and Joseph Swift, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Jim, Bonnie, Wilma and Joe Ed. Friends are invited to visit with the family and say goodbye to “Big Mom” on Friday, May 7, 2021, at 12pm at Rosewood Funeral Home, 2602 S. Houston Ave. Humble, TX 77396.
