William Wallace Obituary

William “Bill” Clyde Wallace, 59, of League City, died Sunday, June 16, 2013. Bill was born February 4, 1954 in Pasadena, Texas. He married Melinda Susi in 1976. They were married for 36 years. He is survived by his wife, Melinda, two sons, Frank and Paul Wallace, brother, Robert Wallace and his wife Heather, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Beverly Johnson and her husband Dennis, his mother and father, Max and Jean Wallace. He served his country as a US Naval Sub-mariner for 6 years. He returned to Texas and went on to obtain his funeral directors and embalmers license. Bill was employed at Lyondell-Citgo for 15 years, where he was a supervisor and technical writer. His latest employment was for CSC at NASA as a Technical Writer where he received the NASA Silver Snoopy Award in 2011. The Snoopy is awarded to less than 1% of NASA employees and was presented to him by an Astronaut. He was a great father that enjoyed coaching his son’s sports teams when they were younger, playing pool with his brother and traveling with Melinda. Bill struggled with myotonic-dystrophy for many years, but never lost his sense of humor. Even at the end he never complained or gave up. We will truly miss him.
