FORT WORTH -- Andrew Trench Ritchie, 78, passed away early Sunday morning, Jan. 20, 2013. Funeral: 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, in Forest Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: The family will receive friends 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Forest Ridge Funeral Home in Hurst. Drew was born Jan. 5, 1935. He served in the United States Navy for over 20 years, earning the rank of chief petty officer and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal Combat V in 1970. He loved traveling, reading and telling his stories. Survivors: Wife, Sylvia; daughters, Cindy and Tammy Ritchie; son-in-law, James McTigue; grandchildren, Kimberly Mahoney and husband, Kevin, and Gerard McTigue; great-grandson on the way, Kaiden Mahoney; brother, Graham Ritchie and wife, Maudie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
