HURST -- Betty Measures, 65, peacefully passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2015. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Saturday at Forest Ridge Funeral Home, 705 Airport Freeway, Hurst. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Betty's memory to North Pointe Baptist Church. Betty graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1968 and from TCC in dietary science. She worked at Baylor Grapevine and its predecessors for many years. Betty last worked at Ethicus Hospital in Grapevine. She was known as "The Cake Lady" and faithfully attended and baked for North Pointe Baptist Church in Hurst. Betty was a strong follower of Christ. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Gary, in 1996. Survivors: Mother, Mary Barron; and brothers, Harvey and wife, Glenda, Wayne and wife, Karon, and Alan and wife, Christin; and a large, loving extended family.
