In the early hours of a beautiful Sunday morning, Jan. 18, 2015, Brian Backous of Alvarado made his way home to receive his angel wings. He left us too soon at the young age of 48. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Forest Ridge Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Forest Ridge Funeral Home. The family requests that if you have a picture memory of Brian, that you bring the picture to add to Brian's scrapbook. Survivors: Brian is survived by his wife, Dolly Backous; stepmother, Cheryl Backous; sisters, Laura Tibbetts and Debbie Russell; stepbrothers, Steven Baggett and David Baggett; daughter, Kim Hemingway; son, Kurt Backous; stepdaughters, Amanda Sanders and Ashley Forbes; stepson, Aaron Wheeler; and three granddaughters.
