Briscoe, Charles Albert, 87, passed away on February 06, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on February 26, 1928 in Irving, Texas to Ollie Albert Briscoe and Charlie Leslie (McNutt) Briscoe. Charles was a graduate of Irving High School. Upon graduation Charles joined the US Navy serving during World War II. He retired from American Airlines in 1990 after 42 years of service as a ticket agent and in the air freight department. Charles was a very loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was always willing to help out his extended family in whatever they might have needed. He was an avid L.D. Bell Raider’s Booster Club member for over 45 years. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, fishing and in his earlier years motorcycle riding. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lawrence “Pete” Briscoe. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty Briscoe of Hurst; daughter, Denise Offield and husband, Douglas of Azle; son, Les Briscoe and wife, Kim of Ft. Worth; and three grandchildren, Shalon Smith, Jake Briscoe and Timmy Briscoe; step-grandchildren,, Matthew Offield of Dallas and Claire Ford and husband, Dave of Hewitt, TX; two step-great grandchildren, Gabi and Alex. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 2:30PM at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, TX. The family would like to thank Richland Hills Healthcare for the care of their loving husband, father and grandfather. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
