Delores Wilson

Delores Leona (Kowalski, Hissong) Wilson passed away peacefully June 12, 2014 at age 91 after battling Alzheimer's disease. Mass of Christian Burial: Mass 6:30 pm Monday June 16 at Good Shepherd Catholic Community in Colleyville. Visitation: Family will receive friends and family at 5:00 pm prior to the service. Final resting place Des Plaines, IL. Visitation/Rosary: 12-2:00pm June 18, 2014 at Severino's River Woods 20 S. River Rd. Des Plaines, IL 60016. Gravesite service to follow. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Nolan Catholic High School. Born in Chicago, IL June 12, 1923 to Sylvestor Kowalski and Helen (Lange) Kowalski. She was the fourth of six children. Delores was a proud wife, devoted Mother and loving Grandmother. She attended Catholic grade and high school at Immaculate Conception in Chicago, IL. She traveled extensively to Europe and the Caribbean Islands with her husband John. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Delores is fondly remembered for her active involvement with games both board and at the fields for baseball and soccer with her children and grandchildren, and her witty humor and loving laughter. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers; Sylvester, Jr. and Edward, Sister; Irene Kleczewski, first husband; John Raymond Hissong (January 1975) son; John (Jack) Raymond Hissong (July 1981) and second husband; Dwayne Wilson (1994). She is survived by her sister; Joan Gregorek of Sarasota, FL, Brother; Rich Kowall of Arlington Heights, IL, Daughter; Patti Hissong Hover of Colleyville, TX, and son; Jim Hissong of Spring, TX, and daughter-in-law Suzanne Hissong CA. Surviving grandchildren; Dee Dee (Hover) Hernandez, Eric Hover, John Hover, and Tom Hover all of Fort Worth, TX area,Hilary (Hissong) Pineo of Palm Desert, CA, Jonathan Hissong of Fresno, CA, Jimmy Hissong of Chicago, IL, Christen (Hissong) Gaworecki of Denver, CO, and Katie Hissong of Spring, TX Surviving great-grandchildren; Ryan Hernandez, Joseph Hernandez, Jacob Hernandez, Lyndsey Hover, Valerie Hover, Dylan Hover, Hudson Hover, Tessa Pineo, Jaxson Hissong, Seylah Hissong, and Hailey Hissong.
