BEDFORD -- Elizabeth Leach Jackson, 95, went home to her Savior, Jesus, on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, in the chapel of Forest Ridge Funeral Home in Hurst, with the Rev. Win Jackson Houwen officiating and music provided by son-in-law and associate pastor, Steve Houwen, and son, Jim Jackson. Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery in Irving. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Tom Watkins, Daniel Donegan, Jessica Houwen, Steve Houwen, Billy Craft, Stan DeMille and Dan Proctor. Elizabeth was born in Denton in 1917 and moved with her family in 1920 to Irving, where she worked in the family businesses, Leach Funeral Home and Irving Hardware Store. She was preceded in death by her first husband, R.E. Byrd, and second husband, Guy A. Jackson. Survivors: Son, Jim Jackson and wife, Paula; daughters, Dianne Byrd-Jackson and Win Jackson Houwen; grandchildren, Joe Jackson, Liz Jackson Donegan, Jennifer Blanton and Jessica Dianne Houwen; and five great-grandchildren.
