BEDFORD -- George Lewis Begor, 75, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of St. Michael Catholic Church in Bedford. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association. George was born Dec. 1, 1936, in Baltimore, Md. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. George was an avid sports fan of tennis and golf. He was a loving father and husband with a great sense of humor. Survivors: Wife, Joan Begor; son, Bruce Begor and partner, Arturo Fierro; daughter, Shelley Smith and husband, Patrick; grandchildren, Courtney and Spencer Smith; sister, Beverly Gorwell; and numerous extended family members and friends.
