BEDFORD -- Germaine "Jam" Alice Dube Buttrick, 88, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family at a hospital Friday, Feb. 1, 2013. Celebration of life: 3 p.m. Tuesday in True North Chapel of Compass Christian Church, 2600 Hall Johnson Road, Colleyville. Born in New Hampshire on June 15, 1924, she was the youngest and the last survivor of 11 children. Jam married David Herbert Buttrick in 1951. They lived in Massachusetts, Vermont and Iowa. Jam loved to participate in church-related activities, Bible studies with her beloved friends, the Red Hat Society and water aerobics. She loved all animals, especially her cats and dogs, and she enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and deer. In 2011, Jam made her final move to Parkwood Senior Living Community in Bedford. She loved the warm weather and her dear friends at Parkwood. Jam was gentle, kind, generous, loving and playful even in her final moments. She was a woman of great faith and loved Jesus and her family with all her heart. Survivors: Daughters, Leslie Clancy, Martha and husband, Eric Reinertson, and Susan and husband, Harvey Hill; son, Jonathan and wife, Jill Buttrick; and grandchildren, Lauren Flood, Joshua Hill, Jonathan Hill and Kacey Buttrick.
