Hubert Daniel "Bones" Keller, 86, of Bedford passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Service: 4 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church of Hurst. Hubert was born March 31, 1926, to Frederick Ludwig and Elsa Jantz Keller in Waco. He graduated from Waco High School. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II in Washington, D.C. He was a Freemason and member of the Knights Templar. Hubert worked as a salesman for Swift & Co. in Houston, Lubbock, Amarillo, Dallas, Chicago and Fort Worth. He then worked for Brown, Moore and Flint as a sales executive, specializing in the convenience store market in Texas. He had a lifelong love of chorus music starting in high school. He sang in Methodist church choirs wherever he lived, as well as local choirs such as the Houston Chorale and The Dallas Rotary Chorus. He was a member of Hurst First United Methodist Church choir for 47 years. He was active in Boy Scouts, along with his three sons. He was a scoutmaster of Troop 333, a member of the Order of the Arrow, attended three National Jamborees, was a Silver Beaver awardee and made three trips to Philmont Scout Ranch. Bones was blessed with good health and great vitality for 86 years that he used to faithfully serve God, family, church and his community. He is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Virginia Sue. Survivors: His beloved wife, Mary Lu; sons, David, Robert and wife, Kelly, and Charles; grandchildren, Brooks and Sarah; and sister, Elnora Wolff.
