BEDFORD -- James G. Carson (Jim) went to be with the Lord. July 26, 2016. Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m. Friday at Forest Ridge Funeral Home, 705 Airport Frwy, Hurst. Visitation: The family will receive friends at 1:30 pm Friday, an hour prior to the service. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Light of Life International or to Teen Challenge. Jim was born April 13, 1921 in Columbus, OH. He entered the Air Force Sept. 29, 1942. He served in the American Theater, Asiatic Pacific, New Guinea & The Philippine Theater. He returned to Seattle, WA. Dec. 24, 1945. He met his wife Tina, and they married Nov. 9, 1948. Their daughter, Karen was born Nov. 27, 1949 and in 1956 they moved to Hurst. Jim was with Braniff 28 years. He was also a school crossing guard in Bedford for 18 years. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. Survivors: Wife, Tina; daughter, Karen and her husband Mykle, and many nieces and nephews.
