Joyce Landers, 75, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at First United Methodist Church of Hurst, 521 W. Pipeline Road, Hurst, in the fellowship hall. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Hurst Memorial Fund. Born in Augusta, Ark., on June 10, 1941, Joyce was the daughter of Alvin and Ethel Poe. Upon attending business college, she met and married the love of her life, Travis, in 1960. Survivors: Husband of 55 years, Travis; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Don Lindsey; grandson, Jace; sisters, Lois Dempsey, Laura Baumgartner; many nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends.
