Colleyville-Madyson "Maddy" Nicole Bowen entered into rest and peace Sunday, December 15, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., Saturday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1000 Tinker Rd., Colleyville, TX 76034. Visitation: 5 to 9 p.m., Friday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Maddy's Honor to: Good Shepherd Catholic Community Development Project, 1000 Tinker Rd., Colleyville, TX 76034 OR Grapevine High School Band Boosters, 3223 Mustang Dr., Grapevine, TX 76051. Maddy was born January 6, 1998, in New Orleans, LA, to Chris and Melissa Bowen. She attended Grapevine High School where she was a proud member of the Mustang Band. Maddy was a lover of music, literature, and art. Many have described her as an "old soul". She cherished her friends and family. Her compassion for others and their well being was one of her greatest qualities. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you for all the overwhelming support from our neighbors, friends, family, Good Shepherd Church, and Grapevine High School band and faculty. Survivors: Maddy is survived by her parents Chris and Melissa Bowen, brother Joey Bowen, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Bowen, Ms. Carol Bowen, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Nave, Jr. and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends, Freckles and Sasha her favorite cats, and Luke the only dog she ever liked.
