Martha Ann Moore Obituary

HURST -- Martha Ann Grant Moore, 82, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at St. Vincent's Cathedral, Bedford, Texas. Interment to follow in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at Forest Ridge Funeral Home, Hurst. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the St. Vincent's Cathedral or the Choir at St. Vincent's. Ann attended Mary Hardin-Baylor University and graduated from Baylor University with a major in performance piano and a minor in organ. For many years she served as a church pianist and organist and as a piano teacher; she was a talented painter and enjoyed pottery as a hobby. She was the daughter of Dr. J. Ralph Grant and Ima Gene Merrick Grant, both deceased. Her father pastored the First Baptist Church in Lubbock for over 20 years, where Ann often played the piano. Survivors: Her husband of 58 years, James Robert Moore; her sister, Jane Adams Ward and niece, Susan Ann Adams; her son, Dr. James Richard Moore and daughter, Jamie Robin Williams; four grandchildren, Christopher Moore, Lisa Moore, Kristen Williams and Kara Williams; son-in-law, Mike Williams; daughter-in-law, Dr. Arezoo Barani; as well as many other relatives and friends. She filled their lives with love, and she will be greatly missed.
