ARLINGTON -- Rachelle "Rae" Helen McGregor, 79, died Saturday, June 18, 2016. Graveside service: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Wayland Cemetery in Wayland, FM 1852, near Ranger. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Forest Ridge Funeral Home, 705 Airport Freeway, Hurst. Rachelle "Rae" Helen McGregor, a cashier for Sewell Lexus of Fort Worth, was born April 6, 1937, in Amherst, Mass. There she met her husband, Billie "Bill" Dewyard McGregor and married him on Jan. 18, 1958. They were married for 34 years and loved each other more than imagined. She was an avid seamstress and made clothes for their four kids when they were younger and, in her later years, she made crafts for friends and the grandkids. She also had the greenest thumb of anyone around and could make anything grow from vegetables to orchids. She loved to cook, she entertained others with her cooking and spent time with her husband, kids, grandkids and friends. She was devoted to her husband and, as the wife of a U.S. Air Force sergeant, traveled regularly for 17 years throughout Texas, Mass. and Guam. Survivors: She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Kevin McGregor of Garland, Kerry McGregor Shelton of Watauga, Collin and Carla McGregor of North Richland Hills, and Carol and James Webb of Arlington; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Cynthia Johnson and husband, Steve, of Atlanta, Ga., and Virginia Boleski and husband, Chet, of Baltimore, Md.; sister-in-law, Darlyene Goodner of Seymour; brother-in-law, Dan McGregor and wife, Maryann, of Abilene; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
