Ralph Reed

Ralph F. Reed, 95, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017. Graveside service: at Mount Olivet Cemetery 10:00 a.m. Thursday. Ralph was born August 18, 1921 to John and Effie (Holt) Reed in Peoria, Texas. Ralph served in the Navy during WWII on the USS Coghlan from 1942 - 1945 as a Chief Radioman. On May 10, 1945 he married Emma Elizabeth (Betty) Roberts. They made their home in Tarrant County. Ralph retired from the FAA on December 31, 1977 after 36 years of service. Ralph and Betty enjoyed many years of coin shooting, RVing, golfing, and square dancing. Ralph was preceeded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, his daughter Emma Ruth Reed and son-in-law Alvin Reed. Survivors: grandchildren, Lynn Reed and wife Peggy, Lori Cooke and husband Kevin, Dee Reed, Lisa Bruce and husband Mike; great-grandchildren, Jenny Kralicke and husband Travis, Courtney Cooke, Christa Evans and husband Lonnie, Colten Bruce, Bailey Bruce; great-great grandchildren, Carter Smith, Kiley Yates, Dylan and Bryn Kralicke, Westyn and Woodson Evans.
