BEDFORD - Randell Dean Brice, 84, of Bedford, Texas passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 surrounded by his family. SERVICE: Thursday, October 29 2:00 p.m. at St. Philip Presbyterian Church 745 W. Pipeline Rd., Hurst, TX 76053 MEMORIAL: In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Philip Presbyterian Church Men's Ministry are encouraged. Born August 30, 1931 in Tira, Texas, Randy attended High School in Cooper, Texas. He attended college at East Texas State Teachers College before entering the Navy in 1950. In 1954, he entered Naval Cadet flight training. He was commissioned in Corpus Christi as Ensign and joined Patrol Squadron Sixteen (VP-16 “War Eagles”) in Jacksonville, Florida flying P2V Neptune patrol bombers. Randy left active duty in 1958 at the rank of Lieutenant, returning to college to complete his degree in math and physics. Randy loved his family and children with a love that grew deeper with each passing year. Randy will be remembered by his family and friends for his wit, humor and loyal kindness. He was a longtime and dedicated member of St. Philip Presbyterian in Hurst where he served as an Elder and worked with countless church committees and groups. The St. Philip community will miss his steadfast friendship, leadership and faithfulness. Randy is preceded in death by his father Thomas Floyd, mother Claudie Belle and brother Carl S. Brice. SURVIVORS: He is survived by wife Ann Brice, son Keith Brice of Orange, Texas, daughter Karey Brice of Sulphur Springs, sister-in-law Wilma Brice of Sulphur Springs, and grandchildren Ben Brice, Courtney Brice, Juliana Brice, Isabella Brice, Hope Brice, and his step-grandchildren Andrew Thompson, Austin Thompson, Luke and Kate Goss.
