Robert Hayner

Robert Eugene Hayner, 82, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at an area hospital. Service: 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Forest Ridge Funeral Home, 705 Airport Freeway, Hurst. Visitation: The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Robert was born Oct. 2, 1929, in South Charleston, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army and Air Force. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Robert retired from Westinghouse and Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD. Robert was preceeded in death by his parents, Floyd F. Hayner Sr. and Olive Mae; and brother, Floyd F. Hayner Jr. Survivors: Loving wife, Susann; sons, David Eugene Hayner (Terri), Timothy Mark Hayner (Marlie), Matthew Franklin Hayner and Floyd Leroy Hayner; daughter, Rebecca Jo Swords (James); siblings, Leroy Hayner, Donald Hayner, Mary Emma Brown, Annie Stacy and William Hayner; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
