Shirley Harper

HURST -- Shirley Ann Davis Harper went to be with her Savior at the age of 77 around 10:20 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016. Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Forest Ridge Funeral Home, 705 Airport Freeway, Hurst. Interment will follow in Smithfield Cemetery, North Richland Hills. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Ridge Funeral Home. Shirley was born Feb. 21, 1938, to Mark and Opal Davis in Ringling, Okla. She was the sixth oldest of 10 children in the Davis family. She graduated from high school from Zanies in 1956 then later graduated from Sam Houston State in 1980. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved working in the yard, making sure it was the best on the block. Survivors: Her husband, Warren Harper; children, Warren Harper II and Sabrina Dunstan; grandchildren, John Pierce, Travis Pierce, Elizabeth Ann Pierce and Kelsi Harper; five stepgrandchildren, Kristopher Sosa, Kari Sosa, Ryan Dunstan, Stephanie Dunstan, Lisa Dunstan and Sara Dunstan; siblings, Doyle Davis, LaZuane Crownover, Deral Davis, Mary Slover and Billy Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
