BEDFORD -- William H. Osborn, 94, passed away on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at an area rehab center.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Bedford. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Ridge Funeral Home in Hurst with a liturgical prayer service at 7 p.m.
William H. Osborn was born Dec. 3, 1917, in Madison, Wis., to the late William and Emily Osborn. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. William retired from insurance sales but will be best remembered as a school crossing guard for the Bedford Police Department. He enjoyed life, especially fishing and watching football.
William was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Evelyn, and by a son, Phillip Michael Osborn.
Survivors: His children, Barbara Olson and husband, Bill, Mary Roberts and husband, Holt, Beverly Green and husband, Tim, Joe Osborn, Sharon Butts, Shan Jennings, Carol Albert, Jerry Osborn and wife, Diane, Teresa Liner and husband, Chris, Ronnie Osborn and wife, Cindy; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
