Althea Merrick passed away the evening of Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 78 years of age. She was born to David and Leila (Sells) Merrick in Ft. Madison, Iowa on Saturday, January 23, 1943. During her life here on earth, Althea never met a stranger and will forever be remembered for her outgoing and loving personality. She was a lover of living life itself, who enjoyed cooking and travel. Althea is preceded in death by her parents David and Leila Merrick. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Susan Spencer; sister Susan Mathews: niece Connie Mathews; nephew Barry Mathews; brother David Merrick and wife Ilene; niece Kinsey Artfitch; nephew Caleb Merrick; grandson Nicholas Spencer and partner Nikole, her son Cullen; Sarah Evans and husband Nate, their children Micah, Davy and Lucy as well as numerous extended family and friends.Obituary
