Julsan Soungie La Porte, Texas Obituary

Julsan Soungie

Julsan Johannas Soungie who was also known as Juke or Jukie, was born in Baytown, Texas, on November 9, 1990, to Joachim “Joe” Soungie and Wanda Scott Weaver. Julsan got his heavenly wings unexpectedly at the young at of 29 on Monday, December 9, 2019, of natural causes. Julsan started his schooling in La Porte, TX, but moved to Northshore to live with his father, where he graduated from Northshore High School in 2009 with Honors. Everyone that encountered Julsan had no choice but to love him. It was that smile! Julsan was the type of individual that loved to help others, give advice, made sure you were ok. That’s was Juke. Juke had the biggest heart of gold and was genuine in everything he did. Many people were blessed to have the opportunity to feel the love that exuded from that big heart. Julsan loved and lived his life to the fullest. His interests were playing video games, board games, and role-playing with his friends and family. He enjoyed hanging with his family and friends, especially to show off and share whatever meal he had cooked since he was the new chef in town for the past few years. Jukie also loved to read and listen to audiobooks. He also enjoyed karaoke, especially country, and Motown. Everything Jukie did was out of love and he thoroughly enjoyed playing with and teaching his nieces and nephews new things. Jukie was a gentle soul with so much compassion, knowledge, and love that everyone was vying for just a little piece of him. That love is something that will forever live on in our hearts. Julsan is preceded in death by his father, Joe Soungie Sr., Grandfather Arthur Scott Sr., uncle Waymon Scott Sr, and Cousin Big U. Left to cherish Julsan's memories are his mother, Wanda Scott Weaver of La Porte, TX, his grandmother Cecile Promise of La Porte, TX. Five siblings; his sisters Katisha Scott of La Porte, TX and Paulina Soungie of Houston, TX; his brothers Milton Scott of La Porte, TX, Joachim Soungie Jr. of Channelview, TX and Le' Andre Weaver of La Porte, TX. Also left to cherish his memory are a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, many great friends, and coworkers. Heaven must have needed the best IT Specialist available, so they decided to call up the best of the best, our brother and friend Julsan “Jukie” Soungie.
