He was born on January 24, 1959 in Louisville, Kentucky to parents George Leroy Lotze and Bearnice Jesse Creilus Lotze. Mike was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. He was a brilliant man who enjoyed all things mechanical. He loved cars and restoring old cars. He could fix just about anything. Mike was a hardworking man who strived for success. He loved his family very much. He cherished his wife of thirty-one years and he loved his four daughters. But, most especially he adored his grandchildren. He enjoyed going to air shows, car shows, riding his motorcycle, barbecuing and traveling with his wife. He liked to make people laugh and was always joking and sharing funny stories. In his spare time, you could find him watching MASH reruns or listening to classic rock music. Every Christmas he would play Christmas Vacation for twenty-four hours a day until New Year’s Eve. He liked John Wayne movies. Mike was a positive, glass half-full type of man. He was a selfless person and often put others needs before his own. Mike was a strong, proud and good man. He will forever be remembered for his warm smile, gentle eyes, loving heart and unconditional love. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brother Ben Miller and wife Judy. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Nanci-ann Lotze; first wife Kathy Quarles Lotze; daughters Kristin Lotze, Samantha Lotze, Barbara Mills and husband Pete; and Karla-ann King. In addition he leaves behind grandsons Jacob Justin Wells and wife Haily, Colt Jackson Mills, Wyatt Walter Mills; granddaughters Baileigh Paige Wells, Kyndahl Leigh Lotze and Ashlyn Grace Mills. He also leaves behind numerous loving nephews, nieces and other loving family members and friends. “Life is a song – sing it. Life is a game – play it. Life is a challenge – meet it. Life is a dream – realize it. Life is a sacrifice – offer it. Life is love – enjoy it.” –Sai Baba, Spiritual Leader and Philanthropist
