Zella Mae Bagwell was born March 25th, 1925 in Eden, Texas, the first of two daughters to parents Gus and Beulah Bagwell. She attended school in Menard, TX where she lived a majority of her life. Here, on their very first day of grade school she met the love of her life and future husband, Alton “Rusty” Williamson. She also met four friends, known amongst themselves as ‘The Angels’, who she remained close with always. In 1941 she graduated from Menard High School. Alton was stationed in Oklahoma City, as a pilot and this is where they wed on November 20, 1943. They returned to Menard County to ranch in 1945. She was a member of the local bridge club, the library club, and a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church. Known within her community on her own merit as well as being the pillar of support to Rusty, she possessed a certain grace and poise that touched everything she was ever a part of. She is proceeded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her sister and brother in law Diane and Sam Kuykendall, daughter Susan Jannett, and son & daughter in law Raymond Lawrence and Vivian. Six grandchildren Brian, Kasey, Matthew, Sarah, Mark & Michael, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
