Agrippa Thomas

Agrippa Lee Easterling Thomas, 86, a longtime resident of Limestone County, went to be with her Lord on December 9th, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Agrippa was born in Personville, Texas, on January 31, 1923 to Chester and Ruby Easterling. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carey Easterling and a sister, Anne Easterling Eslinger. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, H.O. "Hubert" Thomas. She was a faithful wife, loving mother and affectionately known as "Mama Grip" and "Gigi" by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Agrippa was a longtime member of the Northcrest Church of Christ, and also served many years as the church secretary. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Childress of Tyler, her son, Michael Thomas of Tyler, her six grandchildren, Randy Childress and wife Darla, Mandy Huckabee and husband Robert, Jason Thomas, Grant Thomas, Martin Thomas and Spencer Thomas, along with her five great-grandchildren Joshua, Jared and Jenna Huckabee, and Kyle and Grant Childress. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, December 13.th at 2:00 p.m. at the Northcrest Church of Christ in Mexia with Robin Wright officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:45-1:45 on the 13th.
