Anita Gail Gregory Smith, 59, of Austin passed away September 14, 2010. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 17, 2010 in Cobb Cemetery in Thornton, Texas. Mr. Richard Williams will officiate. Anita was born March 8, 1951 in Mexia, Texas to Haskell and Mildred (Bates) Gregory. She had an associated degree and worked for 21 years as an administrative assistant in the data entry field. Anita's hobbies consisted of making jewelry and spending time gardening. She also, enjoyed traveling the world; she especially loved Venzuela. Anita loved spending time with her family. She was a very loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents. Anita is survived by three children, Brendan Smith of Austin, Meghan Hemperly and husband, Robert of El Paso and Caitlin Smith of Austin; two grandchildren, Juniper Rameriz and Presley Hemperly; and two sisters, Sharon Hicks of Houston and Carrie Gaiennie of Alexandria, Louisiana.
