Cecil Elwood Moncrief, 73, of Spring passed away February 25, 2013 in Spring, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10AM, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Benji officiating. Pallbearers will be Glen Foster, Brian Slaughter, Chris Baker, Mark Sanders, Micah Killion and Brittany Jordan. A family visitation and rosary will be held 7-8:30 p.m., Sunday, at St. James Catholic Church in Spring, TX. Monti as he was affectiionately known, was born Feb. 2, 1940 in Centerville, TX. After High School, he worked in the Auto Industry for years and later joined the Masonic Lodge and was affiliated with the Catholic Church. Monti's favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, vintage cars, yard work, Nascar, backyard BBQ's and road trips. He also enjoyed reading the Texas Highway magazine. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Slaughter, Daughters, Melissa Moncrief of Houston and Michelle Moncrief of New Orleans and Step-children, Kimberly and Paul.Obituary
