Charles Eugene "Gene" Hudnall, 68, of Groesbeck passed away February 1, 2009 in Waco. Graveside services for Mr. Hudnall will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Lost Prairie Cemetery with Rev. Tracy Sims officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Gene Hudnall was born to Pete and Lillie Daugherty Hudnall on January 5, 1941 in Thornton, Texas. He spent his entire life in the Limestone County area. Mr. Hudnall was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. Besides his love for his family, he was an avid golfer and loved to fish. He was a retired machinist of S & S Machine Company. Mr. Hudnall was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rita Roberts. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Geraldine Lynch Hudnall of Groesbeck, daughters, Teresa Henderson of Groesbeck, Cheryl Cox and husband, Mark of Groesbeck and Kristi Smith and husband, Steve of Groesbeck; grandchildren, Joshua and Jeremy Henderson, Jacob and Bradley Smith, Elizabeth Page and husband, Cory, and Sarah Cox; brother, Kenneth Bailey Hudnall and wife, Nell of Mexia; a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends; his dog and "Special" companion, Duke. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Cox, Steve Smith, Jacob Smith, Bradley Smith, Joshua Henderson, Jeremy Henderson, Tony Thomas and Larry Sladecek.
