Graveside services for Cleon O. Brady, 93, of Mexia will be Saturday at 4 p.m., October 13, 2007 at Forest Glade Cemetery under the direction of Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Eakin officiating. Mr. Brady died Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at his home in Kilgore at Kilgore Manor where he resided for the last 3 months. He had resided at Groesbeck LTC previously. All who knew him there loved his wit and charm and he was appreciative of all that they did for him. Cleon was born August 18, 1914 in Winnsboro, Texas to E. T. and Ivy Brady. He was a longtime resident of Mexia for over 50 years. During his long life he was a real estate broker. He was a veteran of World War II and was in the See Bees in the South Pacific. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mexia. Survivors include nephews: Billy Bob Brady of Kilgore, Johnny Brady of Mexia and Steve Brady of Grand Prairie, and a niece, Francis Morris of Nacogdoches. Also, Step-grandchildren; and several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Also, his extended family and friends at Kilgore Manor and Groesbeck LTC. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Symantha Brady and brothers, Harland Brady and Billy Brady.
