Diane Hansen Obituary

Diane Lewis Hansen, 55, of Mexia entered into her heavenly home on September 9, 2010. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Wright, Jr. and Rev. Jake Hershey officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Diane was born October 20, 1954 in Mexia, Texas to Elmer Lee and Ozelle (Douthit) Lewis. She graduated from Mexia High School in 1973. Diane was an employee of the Mexia State School for the past eight years. She loved spending as much time with her family as possible, especially her grandchildren who called her NeNe. Diane was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her love for her Lord was evident in her caring and loving ways. When Diane's children were young, she volunteered at Landmark Academy which was affiliated with Landmark Baptist Church. This was something very dear to her heart as she the loved children and everyone involved; something she was very passionate about. She was a member of the Lone Star Cowboy Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Juanita Carroll and Betty Lou Broughton; and nephew Johnny Lee Lewis. Diane is survived by her husband, James Lloyd "Jim" Hansen of Mexia; daughters, Jaime Lyn Harrison and husband, Jon of Mexia and Jessica LuAnne Montgomery and husband, Taylor of Tehuacana; grandchildren, Karson Ashley and Gracie Layne Harrison of Mexia and James Kross Montgomery; sisters, Margaret Cogdell of Tehuacana, Gloria Menton of Corsicana, Pat Lastly of Burnett, Jeanette Bain of Mexia; brothers, Jack Lewis of Mexia, Charlie Lewis of Tehuacana and Tee Lewis of Corsicana; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Brian Carroll, Michael Stanford, Phillip Bain, Scotty Minton, Lonnie Lewis, Michael Savage and Eddie Minton. Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Lide, Tommy Morton, Jack Shivers, Bill Waldrop and Bill Stutts.
