Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Jean Ray, 73 of Mabank will be held on Saturday, October 7, at 2 p.m. in Blair - Stubbs Chapel, Mexia. Rev. Michael Vestal will officiate with interment to follow in King Cemetery, Near Thornton. Mrs. Ray was born on July 16, 1933 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Jack and Evelyn Hart Bentley and passed away on October 4 in Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. She was a Homemaker and member of Assembly of God Church. She had lived for 30 years in Dallas and prior to that in Limestone County. She is survived by her husband, J. C. Ray of Mabank, Sons: Roger Dale Ray and wife Mickie Lynn of Irving; J. C. Ray, Jr. of Seagoville; Jerry Dean Ray and wife, Shirley Ann of Joshua, and Larry Ray and wife, Pamela, of Mabank; grandchildren: Candis Michelle Ray, Rebecca Nicole Ray, Jason Curtis Ray, Linda Pryor and husband, Scott, Amber Nicole Williams and husband, Joey, Tiffany Ray, Jeremy Ray, Stephanie Marie Ray, USMC Jonathan Ray and wife, Whitney, Lucillia Ray, Larry Joe Ray, Dorothy Ann Ray, Christopher Wayne Ray and Molly Evelyn Elizabeth Ray and three great grandchildren, Christian Pryor, Kaylie Nicole Williams and Hayden Cole Williams: brothers: Thomas Hudson of Gatesville, Jerry Hudson of Mexia, Edward Bentley of Liberty and Jack Bentley of Austin; sisters, Peggy Massingill of Gatesville and Mary Williams of Dallas. Pallbearers will be Roger Ray, J. C. Ray, Jerry Ray, Larry Ray, Chris Ray and Charles Gibbons. Visitation will be anytime after 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
