Mr. Eric Anselmo Garay, 26, of Mexia passed away on December 9, 2008 in Wortham. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, December 12, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Father Benjie Magnaye will officiate with interment to follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 3:00 - 7:30 PM Thursday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Rosary will be 7:45 PM Thursday at Blair-Stubbs Chapel. Eric was born to Anselmo and Guadalupe Garay in Mexia on June 8, 1982. He worked in the maintenance department at SWARCO Industries. Outside of his love for his family, he loved art. He is survived by his wife, Sonia Garcia Garay of Mexia; parents, Anselmo and Guadalupe Garay; brothers, Jesse Garay and Freddy Garay; aunts, Rosa Hernandez, Tere Garcia, Letticia Lopez, Tammy Lopez, Marta Lopez, Sonia Jimenez, Esperansa Gomez, Olga Torrez, Simona Jimenez, and Hortencia Castro; uncles, Erasmo Lopez, Feliz Jr. Lopez, Jose Luiz Lopez, Adan Lopez, Meny Lopez and Gerardo Lopez. Pallbearers will be Rigo Castro, Dagoberto Castro, Ruben Hernandez, Jonathan Garay, Jessy Garay, Juan Lopez, Jorge Rodriguez and David Torres.
