Ersie Pauline Lambright, 93, of Houston, formerly of Thornton, passed away August 6, 2012 in Katy. Graveside services will be 1PM, Thursday, August 9th at the Thornton Cemetery. Ersie was born September 15, 1918 in Thornton, Texas to Elijah L. and Jessie Branch Smith. She lived most of her life in the Thornton area. She devoted her life to caring for her family. Ersie cherished spending time with her children and especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a feeling that was shared by all. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, S. J. Lambright; and daughter, Sherry Hart. Ersie is survived by three sons, Luther Lambright and wife, Fredda of Crockett, Jimmie Lambright and wife, Glenda of Houston and Larry Lambright and wife, Brenda of Riesel; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one brother, Brady Smith of Florida. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
