Frances Ann Wilkerson Jones, of Crosby, Texas, passed away October 15, 2017 in Houston, Texas at the age of 82. Graveside services will be 10 AM, Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in the Shiloh Cemetery with Rev. Shane Norcross officiating. Frances was born August 14, 1935 in Thornton, Texas to Walter Norris and Nettie Pearl Favors Wilkerson. She retired from Jacinto City Drug Store in Jacinto City, Texas after 22 years of service. On July 21, 1951, Frances married her loving husband, Troy Lynn Jones, in Mexia, Texas; they were blessed with three children, Carolyn, Sharon and Billy. She fulfilled her goal in life of being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved all her family and spending time with them, but her grandchildren truly had a very special place in her heart. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing. Frances had an outgoing personality, made friends easily, willing to help others and very generous – willing to give anyone her last dollar. Frances was also a faithful Christian and longtime active member of the Second Baptist Church of Jacinto City. She was in charge of the church nursery for many years and through this ministry, both she and the children were recipients of many blessings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Nettie Wilkerson; and husband, Troy Jones. Frances is survived by her loving children, Carolyn Ann Jones Ruth and husband, Bob of Deer Park, Sharon Kay Jones Upton and husband, Irving of Crosby and Billy Ray Jones and wife, Kathy of Pasadena; grandchildren, Benjamin Troy Ruth and fiancé, Adlein Fajardo of Buda, Timothy Hollis Ruth and wife, Anna of Baytown, Jason Lewis Ruth of Deer Park, Stephanie Diane Upton and fiancé, Harry Turman of Crosby, Kevin Owen Upton and wife, Amanda of Porter, Brenda Lee Tippie and husband, Bobby of Houston, Mary Ann Jones of Sugarland and Lisa Marie Jones of Humble; eight great-grandchildren and sister, Pamela Kay Wilkerson of Jacinto City.
