Gracie Juanita Smith, 63, of Mexia passed away June 12, 2009 in Temple. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Rick Gray officiating. Interment will be in Horn Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Juanita was born September 30, 1945 in Mexia to Harim R. and Myrta Richardson Runnels. She lived in Mexia all of her life and was a graduate of Mexia High School. Juanita worked at the Mexia State School for many years. She loved spending time with her family and caring for them. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerald R. Runnels and David Gene Runnels; and grandson, Daniel Wayne Smith. She is survived by her husband, Larry W. Smith of Mexia; sons, Davy Allen Smith and wife Lisa and Billy Wayne Smith all of Mexia; and grandchildren, Blake Allen Smith and wife, Jaime and Ryan Scot Smith. Pallbearers will be Blake Smith, Ryan Smith, Gary Eakins, James Wesley Eakins, Tim Danner, Tommy Smith and Jared Stone.
